Dale And The ZDubs (March 31, 2013)

Dale and the ZDubs first full length album (Leave The Drama) is finally here and it's been worth the wait!  This DC based band often gets labeled as a reggae band but they are so much more. Some of their songs are clearly reggae or heavily influenced by classic reggae sounds (J's Song, In Go The Lies) but they are also a great rock band with incredible guitar riffs (Man in White, When She Smiles) an acoustic rock band with strong vocals and a sensitive side (You Say) and no matter which way they are leaning they do it all really well.  It's one of those rare albums that almost sounds like a compilation of a bunch of great bands but yet it's the same band all the way through. The album is NOW on sale at iTunes for only $7.99 - so go check it out! https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/leave-the-drama/id608749145

Have a great week and enjoy the music!

Lacey Caroline (March 24, 2013)

When I first heard Lacey Caroline as the lead singer of the band The Best Week Ever I was already sold on her talent and ability.  That band has long since broken up but now Lacey has returned as a solo act and while the style of music is different her incredible voice is as good as ever! So far Lacey has released two singles, "Can You Feel It" and "Every Little Thing" both of which are great.  And this June she'll release her debut EP! Go give her a listen and check out this incredible talent!

Have a great week and enjoy the music!

My Body Sings Electric (March 17, 2013)

My Body Sings Electric is one of the many great emerging bands from Denver (which also happens to be my home town).  This pop rock group is tearing it up with great songs like "Oceancrest" and "Doctor."  These guys write smart and catchy songs that will take them far.  They've just returned from SXSW where I'm sure they won lots of new fans!

In other important news - any bands interested in having their song(s) played for 10,000 people at an important rally for Cancer Research should check out this special blog post: http://emergemusicgroup.blogspot.com/2013/03/music-for-cancer-research-rally.html

Chris Ayer (March 10, 2013)

Stop what you're doing and go check out Chris Ayer! No, I'm serious, do it! He's got one of the best pure voices I've heard in years and his songwriter is perfection.  "The Infinite Abyss of Space" (which appears on his free sampler EP: https://www.noisetrade.com/chrisayer/chris-ayer-sampler) is the most wonderful piece of ear candy I could hope for.  And if you want to get a better idea of just how talented this guy is go visit his YouTube page (http://www.youtube.com/user/chrisayer446) where he has a slew of "one take" videos in random places like a park, near train tracks or in an apartment kitchen.  He's getting ready to release a brand new album of music that I can hardly wait for! Don't miss out - get on the bandwagon now!

Have a great week and enjoy the music!

Rachel and the Kings (March 3, 2013)

I've been waiting for a while to feature Rachel and the Kings and now that their debut full length album "Tonic" is available on iTunes I am hoping everyone will check it out! This Denver based band has a great sound with wonderful female lead vocals and an excellent band that helps show her off.  "Tonic" is a great example of what talent really means - from upbeat catchy numbers to beautiful ballads and everything in between - this is a great album from a great emerging band!

Have a great week and enjoy the music!
