Joey Hyde (August 28, 2011)

Joey Hyde (http://www.facebook.com/joeyhydemusic) is this week's featured artist.  Last month Joey released a self-titled album which is one of the best country crossover albums I've heard.  While his music definitely leans towards the country genre he fits in nicely with this new generation of country artists who rock as hard as they twang.  Joey has a great voice and writes really solid songs. I really like "Turning Around" and "Worth A Woman" is one of my favorites.  The whole album is on sale for just $5 at iTunes.  Definitely worth checking out!

Have a great week and enjoy the music!

Love Via Dance Machine (August 21, 2011)

Love Via Dance Machine (http://www.purevolume.com/new/loveviadancemachine) creates music that is uptempo, fun and smart and belongs listed along side All Time Low, Simply Plan, etc.. The first song of theirs that I hear was "Unapologize" which I instantly loved.  Right now they are giving away (for FREE) a bunch of free songs on their Pure Volume.  Soon enough these guys will have great music for sale - but for now go get it for free!

Don't forget to "like" them on Facebook as well: http://www.facebook.com/loveviadancemachine

Clay Hughes (August 14, 2011)

Clay Hughes (FREE download at: http://sharpcountyrecords.bandcamp.com/track/the-love-i-gave-ya) is an incredible new talent that defies typical music labels or genres. He has an easy going, laid back vocal quality that gets put on top of music that sounds like it's right out of your favorite movie and then added to this incredible concoction are collaborations with hip hop artists.

Clay's songs are ridiculously good, enjoyable and interesting and unlike anything else I've heard.  Please go get the free download of "The Love I Gave Ya" which Clay has posted for our Emerge members! (http://sharpcountyrecords.bandcamp.com/track/the-love-i-gave-ya) And once you hear just how good he is go get the whole album, "The Whether Machine" at http://sharpcountyrecords.bandcamp.com/album/the-whether-machine

Have a great week and enjoy the music!

TFDI (August 7, 2011)

TFDI, the collaboration between singer-songwriters Tony Lucca, Jay Nash and Matt Duke, is this week's featured band.  Their new album "When I Stop Running" is phenomenal (and currently for sale on Amazon's MP3 site for only $1.99!!).  These three together are greater than the sum of their parts as they bring together wonderful harmonies with a down home folk/roots rock feel. Great singers, great songs, great music. What are you waiting for??

Have a great week and enjoy the music!
